WORLD CONGRESS OF ACCOUNTANTS ATTRACTS 6,000 DELEGATES
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 6 (Bernama) -- About 6,000 delegates from 124 countries are expected at the World Congress of Accountants (WCOA 2010) here from Nov 8 to 11.
The theme of the four-day event organised by the International Federation of
Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants is "Accountants:
Sustaining Value Creation".
Prime Minister Najib Razak, in a message for the participants, said he believed
WCOA 2010 would provide a comprehensive and engaging platform for discourse on
sustainability.
Such discourse was vital to propagate a world society that understands issues
being faced to ensure continuity, he said.
Bank Negara Malaysia (Malaysia's Central Bank) Governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz will
deliver a keynote address on "Islamic Finance: Strengthen the Global Financial
Market" during the second plenary session on Nov 10.
She is among the 150 speakers from 40 countries for the plenary and
