PALESTINE PRESIDENT INVITES PM, MALAYSIANS TO VISIT HIS COUNTRY

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas invites
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and all Muslims to visit Palestine and
experience the actual situation there.

Its ambassador to Malaysia Abdelaziz Aboughosh said Palestinians looked
forward to Malaysians visiting Palestine and see for themselves what really
happened on the ground rather than seeing it on television or reading about it
in the newspapers.

"We are ready to cooperate and help all who want to visit us," he told
reporters at the Parliament lobby after meeting with some MPs led by Dr
Jamaludin Jarjis, here, Wednesday.

Abdelaziz hoped the Muslim ummah (community) would continue to support
and help the Palestinians in fighting for their rights.

Jamaludin, who is also Malaysia's ambassador to the United States, said the
meeting with the Palestinian ambassador was for them to keep abreast with the
situation in Palestine and the Palestinians' concern over the establishment of
illegal Jewish settlements in Palestine, especially in Jerusalem.

He said he was also attracted to Abdelaziz's suggestion for Malaysians to
visit Palestine and hoped that Malaysian companies would invest in Palestine and
assist in building educational facilities there.
