State President receives Princess Astrid of Belgium
VIENTIANE,11. NOV (KPL) -Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, President of the Lao PDR received at the Presidential Palace ( Horkham) on 10 November a courtesy visit of Princess Astrid of Belgium who arrived here for the first meeting of the States Parties to the Convention on Cluster Munitions held in Vientiane from 9-12 November.
At the reception, President Choummaly Sayasone praised and highly valued the attending to the meeting of the Princess Astrid of Belgium as a big contribution to further strengthen the friendship relation and co-operation between Laos and Belgium. He also expressed thanks to the government and people of Belgium for their great assistance to Laos, especially in the field of UXO.
On this occasion, Princess Astrid of Belgium thanked to President Choummaly Sayasone and Lao government for their warm welcome and confirmed to further support to Laos, particularly in the sector of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO).
