OLD TOWN AIMS AT INDONESIAN MARKET

GENTING HIGHLANDS (Malaysia), Nov 13 (Bernama) -- Old Town International Sdn
Bhd plans to penetrate the Indonesian market in the first quarter next year,
said its managing director, Lee Siew Heng.

The specialised coffee based restaurant plans to open four outlets in
Jakarta during its first year of operation, Lee told reporters after the Golden
Bull Award 2010 here Friday night.

"Currently we have 166 outlets here and next year we will open another 30
outlets nationwide," he added.

The company has also projected its income this year to grow to RM240 million
(US$1=RM3.09) from RM179 million last year.

Old Town which ranked number one in the Super Golden Bull Award said that
its strategy in giving its customers reasonable prices with quality products was
one reason why it was able to capture the mass market.

"We will continue to maintain our product quality, customer service and menu
varieties to our guest," said Lee.

Asked on the listing plan, he said the company was still waiting for
approval from the Securities Commission to pursue the exercise.

Meanwhile, a total of 100 outstanding Small and Medium Enterprises (SME, 20
emerging SMEs and ten Super Golden Bull winners congregated here for the gala
award presentation ceremony and dinner.

Second finance minister Ahmad Husni Mohamad Hanadzlah was
Guest of Honour at the event.
