AIRASIA ADDS FOUR FLIGHTS WEEKLY ON KUALA LUMPUR-CHENNAI ROUTE NEXT YEAR
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 15 (Bernama) -- AirAsia will add four more flights weekly on the Kuala Lumpur-Chennai route from Jan 21 next year.
Its regional head of commercial Kathleen Tan said AirAsia was confident that the route would perform extremely well.
"Chennai is a highly popular and desired destination among Indians in Malaysia and travellers from Chennai are increasingly using Kuala Lumpur as a connecting gateway to 130 routes in Asean and beyond," she said in a statement Monday.
AirAsia serves the route with direct daily flights to Chennai from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal in Sepang, near here on the 180-seater Airbus A320.
With the new flights, AirAsia will operate 11 flights weekly from Chennai and 114 flights from India in a week.
