PERTH TO HOST GLOBAL LNG CONFERENCE IN 2016

MELBOURNE, Nov 18 (Bernama) - More than 5,000 delegates from about 70
countries are expected to attend the international liquefied natural gas
conference in Perth

The announcement about the 18th International Conference and Exhibition on
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG18) in April 2016 was made in Houston, Texas, on
Wednesday.

Perth hosted LNG12 in 1998 (the event is held every three years) and was
credited with significantly boosting the profile and participation rates for
the event.

Delegates expected to attend include energy ministers, executive officers of
global oil and gas companies, academics, journalists and over 200 exhibiting
companies, a media report from Perth said.

The report said the West Australian State Government would be urged to fast
track expansion of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and new hotel
infrastructure.

State Premier Colin Barnett said the conference, which is expected to
generate A$50 million into the economy, would enhance Perth's reputation as a
business and conference centre for the energy sector.
