Army Chief calls on President

DHAKA, Bangladesh, August 5 (BSS) - Chief of Army Staff General Moeen U Ahmed today called on President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban here.

During the meeting, the Army Chief apprised the President of
different training and ongoing development programmes of
Bangladesh Army.

He also informed the President about the role played by the
Army in preparation of electoral roll with photographs and
national identity card and its latest progress.

The President gave a patient hearing to the Army Chief and
expressed his satisfaction over the Army's activities in
different fields.

Secretary of the President's Office Md Sirajul Islam,
Military Secretary to the President Major General Mohammad Ruhul
Amin and Press Secretary Abdul Awal Howlader were present.
