MALAYSIAN WINS CPA AUSTRALIA'S PRESIDENT'S AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 (Bernama) -- Nik Mohd Hasyudeen Yusoff, the chairman of
Audit Oversight Board (AOB), has won the President's Award for Excellence
-- Service and Leadership award from the CPA Australia.

In a statement here Friday, Securities Commission Malaysia said Nik
Hasyudeen has been awarded for his contribution and service to CPA Australia as
well as to the accountancy profession in Malaysia and the Asean region.

Nik Hasyudeen, former president of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants,
has been actively involved in the Public Practice Advisory Committee of CPA
Australia since 2004.

He was appointed AOB chairman in April this year, and is presently a member
of the Operation Review Panel of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and
the Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee.

Nik Hasyudeen also sits on the advisory boards of University Science
Malaysia's Graduate School of Business and the Faculty of Business and
Accountancy in University Malaya.

CPA Australia is a professional accounting bodies with a membership of more
than 129,000 finance, accounting and business professionals across the globe.

Its President's Award is an award granted to members of the body or other
persons who have served CPA Australia and made a significant voluntary
contribution above expectation.
