DUBAI GLOBAL AGENDA SUMMIT HOSTS OPEN FORUMS FOR PUBLIC

DUBAI, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- The upcoming Summit on the Global Agenda in
Dubai will host -- for the first time ever -- a number of open forums where the
public can interact with global thought leaders on wide-ranging topics of
strategic relevance.

United Arab Emirates' Economy Minister and co-chair of the summit, Sultan
Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, said the move would contribute towards enriching the
debate, promoting constructive dialogue and adding further value to the global
event.

Organised in cooperation with the World Economic Forum (WEF), the summit
will take place from Nov 28 to Dec 1.

The open forum sessions would analyse topics such as Cities of the Future,
Energy Security and Economic Prosperity for the Region, Water Security as well
as Education and Innovation, the organisers said in a statement.

At the summit, more than 700 global leaders from academia, business,
government and society will engage in interactive workshops to set priorities
to improve the state of the world and identify the latest trends, risks and
innovative solutions to address the world's challenges.

The outcome of the Dubai summit will be integrated into the WEF Annual
Meeting 2011 in Davos-Klosters for further discussion and action.
