Barring minor incidents of stone-pelting at a few
places here, the situation after Friday prayers remained by
and large peaceful, official sources said.
Groups of youth came out on the streets at Batmaloo in
Nowshehra and Soura on the outskirts of the city and indulged
in stone pelting on police and paramilitary forces, they said.
Security forces exercised maximum restraint and used
mild force to chase away the protesters, they said, adding
