President Choummaly Sayasone receives Kuwaiti Prime Minister

(KPL)President Choummaly Sayasone on 5 August received Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who visited to Laos from 5-6 August at the invitation of Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh.
Lao President Choummaly and Kuwaiti Prime Minister talked with each other in a frank and cordial atmosphere, in which they exchanged views on developing relationship and co-operation between Laos and Kuwait.
The sides expressed satisfaction over their relations over the past years and hoped that these good relations would be further strengthened in the interest of the two people, Laos and Kuwait.
President Choum maly praised the visit to the country by the Kuwaiti Prime Minister as an important step and big contribution to strengthen the relation offriendship and co-operation between Laos and Kuwait. President Choummaly also asked the Kuwaiti government to encourage its investors to invest in Laos, especially in the fields of agriculture and forestry.

Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah expressed thanks to President Choummaly for his warm welcome and informed him the activities of the Kuwaiti delegation in Laos, particularly the results of the working session between his delegation and Lao counterpart.
During the visit, Laos and Kuwait signed four agreements and two
memorandums of understanding (MOUs), which were agreements on trade,
economic and technical co-operation, the encouragement and reciprocal
protection of investment, the avoidance of double taxation and the
prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and on
capital.
They also signed MOUs on conducting bilateral consultation,
and on civil and aviation co-operation.
Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser conveyed an invitation from Kuwait's King to President Choummaly to pay an official visit to Kuwait.
