DPM ends visit to Iran

(KPL)Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Thongloun
Sisoulith, heading his delegation on a cordial visit to Iran from 28July to
1 August, arrived home on Tuesday.
The visit was made at the invitation of the Iranian Foreign Minister
Manouchehr Mottaki. According to the source from ministry of foreign
affairs, Laos and Iran held a bilateral talk on 28 July in Teheran where the
sides expressed their satisfactions over the friendship relation and
co-operation made in the past 41 years. The sides also informed each other
on their respective social-economic development and agreed to further their
co-operation in the fields of economic, trade and investment.
The Iranian side agreed to share its experiences with Laos on oil
exploration, agriculture, phamacy, science and technology and other
necessary fields. Lao side has expressed congratulations to Iran for its
good organising of Non-Aligned Movement conference and expressed thanks and
gratitude to Iran for its great help to train Lao diplomats in the past and
asked Iran to further its assistance to Laos.
The Iranian side also informed Laos that the Iran has set US$ 2 million
official fund to make a feasibility study regarding the co-operation between
Laos and Iran in the future.
The sides also highly valued the co-operation and supports to each other in
the regional and global stages which was a contribution to keep peace,
stability and development co-operation in the region and in the world.
