Electricite du Laos’ shares is available for sale

VIENTIANE ,13 DEC. (KPL) The Lao Electricity Public Ltd Company will sell its shares for 217 million in the Lao Security Exchange, said Director of Lao Security Exchange, Mr. Detphouvang Mourathan.
More than 130 million, out of total amount of shares will be available for sale to individual organizations, according to last week’s press conference of Lao Electricity Company Ltd on presenting the sale of its shares.
The press conference was co-organised by Banque pour le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) and Krung Thai Bank. The Lao Electricity Public Ltd Company is a subsidiary company of the Electricite du Laos generating electricity for the Electricite du Laos.
The share of Lao Electricity Public Ltd Company is available for sale about 4,000-4,500 kip. The interested investors can reserve and afford the shares from the Lao Security Exchange, Banque pour le Commerce Exterieur and Khung Thai Bank or branches of BCEL from 16 to 24 December.
Presently, seven hydropower dams are generating electricity for the Lao Electricity Public Ltd Company.
