Witch doctor held for death of girl

Mangalore, Dec 18 (PTI) A witchcraft practitioner was
arrested for allegedly murdering a three-year-old girl to
gain supernatural powers, in Mangalore in south Indian
state of Karnataka, police said.

They said Kamalaksha (72), a suspected black magic
practitioner, and his step daughter Chandrakala
invited the child Priyanka to their house while she was
playing in front of her house.
As she did not return home, her parents, Firhan Zha and
Anjali, asked Kamalaksha whether the girl was there. But, he
told them that he had sent back Priyanka in the evening
itself.
Later the missing child's body was found dumped in an
arecanut farm near the house.
Police has taken the black magician and his step daughter
into custody.
Police said they were investigating into the cause
of the death and also looking into the incident. PTI LGK RCJ
