The market breadth continued to remain positive with 1,504
counters ending with gains while 1,399 finishing with losses
at the BSE. The total turnover moved up further to Rs 3,839.73
crore from Rs 3,596.05 crore on Tuesday. MOIL Limited showed
the highest turnover of Rs 490.86 crore.
Among the overseas counterparts, Asian markets ended weak
with China's Shanghai and Japan's Nikkei shedding 0.90 per
cent and 0.23 per cent.
European markets, however, bucked the weak opening and
were trading firm in the afternoon session. PTI
