Turkey's Pegasus Airlines applies for listing on the Istanbul Stock Exchange

ISTANBUL (A.A) - 16.02.2011 - Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi A.S. applied for listing on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE).
A statement posted on the website of the ISE said on Wednesday that Pegasus Airlines applied for listing on the ISE, noting that the company's capital was 109.2 million Turkish lira and nominal IPO (initial public offering) amount was 34.2 million TL.
Pegasus Airlines was established in 1990 as a joint venture between Aer Lingus, Silkar Yatirim and Net Holding in Istanbul.     
Since its first commercial flight in May 1990, the airline operates scheduled and charter flights to more than 100 different destinations in 17 countries. 
Today it has a fleet of 32 aircraft, including 22 state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800s, two Boeing 737-400s and three Boeing 737-500s. In addition, it provides wet leasing services to the other airlines when they need extra capacity besides their charter operations.
