Taiwanese business delegation to visit India

New Delhi (PTI)- Keen to boost its commerce with
India, a large trade delegation from Taiwan led by its
Economic minister Christina Liu will be in the country from
Monday to explore possibilities in various sectors.
The high-powered delegation with over 80 members, the
largest-ever from Taiwan to India, will visit various cities
for five days beginning Monday.
The delegation led by Minister of the Council for
Economic Planning and Development Christina Liu are expected
to meet senior government officials and some ministers in the
capital during their visit.
The delegation, which comprises investors and buyers from
Taiwan's business and government sectors, will also visit
Mumbai and Ahmedabad, in the western Indian states of
Maharashtra and Gujarat, and interact with business tycoons
and government officials.
The visit is part of 'Taiwan Road Show', a series of
campaign by the Taiwanese Government to woo investors to the
country.
This is the third country where the show is being held
with the previous two being held in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Besides holding investment promotion conferences, the
delegation will also visit businesses across the country and
brief potential investors on flagship projects in sectors
ranging from renewable energy to hi-tech and science park
development.
Some of the top Taiwanese companies which are part of the
delegation are Delta Electronics, Winbond Electronics, TECO
Electric and Machinery and Polaris Financial Group.
