Vietnam, UAE agree to promote cooperation

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed a cooperation agreement on investment, finance, trade and labour during a recent visit to the UAE by a Vietnamese government delegation, led by Minister, Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The delegation included Vice Chairmans of the People's Committees of Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Thuan and Quang Ninh provinces and representatives ofmany businesses.

During the Aug. 10-15 visit, made at the invitation of Prince Sheikl Tahuoon Al Nahayan, the delegation met with leading UAE economic groups, including Tanouh, Mubadala, Etisalar, Al Qudra, Bhoom Al Masdar, Limitlessof Dubai Work and the Trade Ministry of the UAE.

The UAE groups expressed their keen interest in developing infrastructure as well as investing in real estate, urban and agricultural developmentprojects in Vietnam .

The UAE side said it was willing to import Vietnamese rice and food andreceive a large number of Vietnamese workers.

The delegation was received by Gen. Mohammed Bin Zayed, Crown Prince ofAbu Dhabi who is Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE.

The Crown Prince said that the UAE government hoped to promote friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam . He pledged to encourage theUAE's major prestigious groups to invest in Vietnam.
