Turkey's Enka to build airport terminal building in Oman as part of consortium
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 23.02.2011 - A multinational consortium, in which Turkish construction firm Enka owns a 38.4 percent share, signed a contract to build the new terminal building at Muscat International Airport, Enka said on Wednesday.
In October 2010, Oman awarded the construction of a $1.8 billion project to build the new terminal building of the airport to a joint venture of U.S. engineering firm Bechtel, Turkish construction firm Enka and local company Bahwan Contracting.
In a statement sent to Istanbul Stock Exchange, Enka said that the contract has been approved by Oman's authorities on Wednesday.
Enka said the project will be completed in 38 months.
