Con-build Vietnam 2008 to open
Hanoi (VNA) - The 2nd International Trade Fair for Construction and Building (Con-Build Vietnam 2008) will take place in Hanoi from Sept.
9-12, according to the Munich International Trade Fairs Pte. Ltd. (MMI) -an organiser of Con-Build Vietnam 2008.
Ronald Unterburger, Managing Director of the MMI group, said at a press conference in Hanoi on Aug. 20 that the event will focus on strengthening the broad potentials of the Vietnamese construction market, while promoting infrastructure development and expansion of regional andinternational strategic cooperation.
The fair will provide a forum for leading experts in the civil engineering industry, producers and distributors both foreign and local, to shareexperiences and establish relations.
At the event, MMI group will introduce Vietnam 's infrastructure development programme by luring foreign investment and introduce potentialsin the field.
The event is also expected to contribute to promoting the strategic cooperative ties between Vietnamese and foreign companies in the exchange oflatest advanced technologies.
The organising board said that many foreign businesses, including those from China , Germany , Italy , Japan , the Republic of Korea ,Singapore and the US , will take part in the fair.
About 80 percent of these businesses attended Con-Build 2007.
Foreign businesses will also look for partners to transfer technology,open sale agents in Vietnam.
