Istanbul to host Turkey-Iran joint technical committee on tourism
ANKARA (A.A) - 02.03.2011 - The meeting of Turkey-Iran Joint Technical Committee on Tourism will take place in Istanbul between March 3 and 5.
Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry stated on Tuesday that officials from ministry as well as representatives of Iranian public and private sector would attend the meeting.
Cooperation opportunities in the areas of tourism investments, marketing, advertisement and education between the two countries will be on the agenda of the meeting.
Last year's meeting took place in Tehran which brought a significant momentum in tourism between Turkey and Iran.
The number of Iranian tourists who visited Turkey increased 36.28 percent from 1.3 million in 2009 to 1.8 million in 2010.
