Museum of amusing sciences for children opens in Moscow
MOSCOW (Itar-Tass) - A museum of amusing sciences for
children, the Experimenatrium, opens in Moscow on Sunday. The museum will
feature more than 200 interactive exhibits and brain-twisters, all of them
can be touched and used for experiments.
According to the museum's organizers, children will be given an
opportunity to make chemical and physical experiments, solve problems of
various degrees of complexity, piece together jigsaw puzzles. Thus,
children interested in medicine will be able to study anatomy on plastic
mockups, those interested in physics will conduct experiments with
magnets, measure their bodily electricity, etc. And the children's parents
may be sure about safety of their children - the museum's organizers vow
all the experiments will be supervised by specialists.
A robot will welcome the visitors at the entrance to the first room
and further accompany the visitors throughout the museum, answer their
questions.
The museum is housed in a building formerly owned by the Znamya
machine-building plant in Butyrskay Street.
