Qtel Celebrates Direct Cable Connection to Nepal
Doha, March 07 (QNA) - Qtel announced on Monday a new promotion for calls to Nepal, to celebrate the launch of newly-established direct cable interconnection between Nepal and Qatar.
The direct cable connection is the only one of its kind between Qatar and Nepal, and will provide Qtel customers with crystal-clear connections and even better value for calls between the two countries.
To celebrate the opening, Qtel is offering all Hala customers the special promotional rate of just QR0.45 per minute for all calls to Nepal from 8-9 March 2011, a press release by Qtel said.
Qtel and Nepal Telecom will manage the connection points, and the two companies have signed a special strategic agreement to boost the value for customers in both countries.
With both companies holding the leadership position in their respective markets, the strategic partnership between Qtel and Nepal Telecom marks another important step forward in collaboration between Asian and Middle Eastern companies, and reflects the ongoing growth and development of Qatar s knowledge-based economy.
To celebrate the opening of the new cable connection, Qtel is holding a special ceremony for Nepal Telecom executives and representatives of the Nepalese community in Qatar on 8 March 2011.
