Egypt Exprerience A Lesson For Students

SHAH ALAM (Bernama) -- Agriculture and
Agro-based Industry Minister Noh Omar told students from Selangor state studying
in Egypt that the country's political upheaval should serve as a lesson on the
importance of safeguarding peace and political stability.
Noh, who is also Selangor Umno Liaison Committee deputy chairman, said the
memory may be bitter but students would have learned a valuable lesson from the
first-hand experience on how political instability could instigate chaos in a
country.
He was speaking at a contribution presentation ceremony jointly organised by
the Kelana Ehsan Foundation and Selangor Umno where 1,150 Selangor students in
Egypt received RM500 each, here Wednesday.
Egypt can be described as a country with one race and one religion, but is
still prone to political instability, he added.
Noh said he hoped that with the experience, the students would work with the
government to ensure a lasting peace in Malaysia.
