HCM City calls for investment in Thu Thiem urban zone
Hanoi (VNA) - Ho Chi Minh City is calling potential investors to invest in several multi-billion USD projects in Thu Thiem new urban zone.
The projects awaiting investment include the international conventional centre complex, the international financial centre, the sports andentertainment centre and a six-star hotel.
The zone's management board hopes that some projects worth at least 10billion USD each would be started in 2009.
The 657ha Thu Thiem new urban zone is divided into five areas, including the main financial-service district, the East-West corridor multi-functional area, two residential areas to its north and east and a greenery area in thesouth.
The main area will be connected with the city inner districts by five bridges and a tunnel across Saigon River.-Editem
