JMM out to dispel negative perceptions against M'sian, I'sian governments

KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 (Bernama) -- Right-wing group Jaringan Melayu
Malaysia (JMM) will produce a television series called "Antara Dua Garisan"
(Between Two Lines) to be aired in Indonesia and Malaysia to dispel negative
perceptions towards the governments of both countries.

JMM national director Hamdan Mohd Salleh said the 30-minute programme,
jointly produced by Suar Channel Sdn Bhd from Malaysia and P.T. Riri Artha from
Indonesia, would discuss the policies of both governments as well as current
issues, featuring leaders from both countries.

"All this while, opposition politicians from Malaysia have been portraying
negative information about the Malaysian government in the Indonesian media.

"The 12-episode programme will be a platform for the government to portray
the true picture of the excellent relations of both countries in handling all
issues," he told a news conference during the programme's pre-launching here
today.

Present was Suar Channel Sdn Bhd managing director Azmi Musa.

Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Mukhriz Mahathir would
launch the programme on March 20 and would be the first guest to appear on
the programme, which would air in June, he said.

Other leaders to be featured at the programme include Women, Family and
Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Defence Minister Dr Ahmad
Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Finance Minister Dr Awang Adek Hussin, Senator Ezam Mohd
Nor and Melaka Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam.
