Airasia named best low cost cargo carrier at aviation award Asia

KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 (Bernama) -- Malaysia-based low cost airline bagged
the "Asia's Best Low Cost Cargo Carrier" award at the first Aviation Award Asia,
held recently at the AsiaWorld Expo in conjunction with Asia Aerospace 2011 in
Hong Kong.

Sathis Manoharen, AirAsia's regional head of cargo, said it was an honour to
be recognised by the Asian aviation industry.

"The award comes right after we were named as the Fastest Growing Airline
for Cargo by the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

"To be recognised in China, and now the whole Asia as market leaders in the
cargo industry will only spur us on to greater heights," he said in a statement
Friday.
