Qatar Charity Delegations Arrives at Libyan-Tunisian, Libyan-Egyptian Borders
Doha, March 12 (QNA) - Qatar Charity announced that two delegations arrived at each of the Tunisian-Libyan borders and the Egyptian-Libyan borders to provide for further emergency aid and to contribute to the coordination of medical relief to be implemented during the next few days in the context of the official and private relief aid for persons affected by the events in Libya.
The second phase of Qatar Charity assistance campaign focuses on sending teams of specialist doctors and nurses as well as the provision of shipments of medicines and medical appliances and food in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
The first delegation, which arrived at the Tunisian-Libyan border, is headed by Deputy Medical Director of HMC and Qatar Charity Board Member Dr. Abdul Wahab while the second delegation, which arrived at the Egyptian-Libyan borders is headed by Orthopedics Consultant at HMC Saleh Al Yazidi .
In a press statement Director of Public Relations and Resources Development at Qatar Charity Ghanem Kubaisi put the value of assistance to be provided by the two delegations at a million and one hundred thousand riyals.
This is the second relief campaign after the first batch of aid as part of its relief started as of March 27 which included medicine, children milk and other relief materials provided to stranded labours on the Tunisian-Libyan borders.(QNA(
