BERNAMA, ANTARA SIGN COLLABORATIVE AGREEMENT
MELAKA (Malaysia), March 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysian national news agency Bernama and Indonesian national news agency Antara on Monday signed a collaborative agreement to enhance cooperation in various fields.
The collaboration covers exchange of reporters and photographers,
photography on Sabah, Sarawak and Kalimantan, joint photography exhibitions and the publication of an album collection.
Other collaborations include the joint publication of the Sinergi quarterly magazine, the alternate hosting of the Bernama-Antara Summit, with Bernama hosting this year's summit, the publication of a coffee table book on the Malaysia-Indonesia cultural similarities, and exchange of footage between Bernama TV and Antara TV.
The collaborations were agreed at the end of the three-day summit
participated by senior officers of both agencies which ended here today.
Bernama general-manager Hasnul Hassan and deputy editor-in-chief
Zulkefli Salleh signed on behalf of Bernama while Antara was represented by its advisory board chairman Dr Henri Subiakto and chief editor Saiful Hadi.
Hasnul said the collaborative agreement was in addition to the already close relations existed for so long between Bernama and Antara.
The summit was a follow up of the Malaysia-Indonesia Joint Committee Meeting on Information and Communication held in Kuala Lumpur last year.
The summit was hosted by Bernama in collaboration with the Information Communication and Culture Ministry and the Melaka state government.
