Turkey's chief EU negotiator leaves for United States
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 15.03.2011 - Turkey's top official for European Union accession negotiations, Egemen Bagis, on Tuesday departed for Washington, the United States, for a series of talks.
Bagis is set to participate in a conference meeting co-hosted by the Assembly of Turkish-American Associations (ATAA) and the Federation of Turkish American Associations.
"I will deliver the keynote speech of the Leadership Conference organized by the Assembly of Turkish-American Associations and the Federation of Turkish American Associations. I will hold meetings with officials from the administration and the Congress and ask for the continuation of U.S. support for Turkey's EU bid," Bagis told reporters before his departure.
