Quake Measuring 6.0 Hits Honshu`s East Coast in Japan
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) - A strong earthquake measuring 6.0 on the
Richter Scale occurred near Honshu's East Coast, in Japan at 9.31pm Tuesday
night.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement that the
epicentre of the earthquake was at 3,911 kilometres North-East of Kudat, Sabah.
Japan was earlier struck by a strong quake measuring 9.0 on the Richter
Scale on Friday which resulted in a seven-metre high tsunami.
