Malaysian King Launches Book On Monarchy
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Wednesday launched the book "The Majestic History of The Malaysian Monarchy" which tells the history of the Malay Sultanate in this country.
The 409-page book, published by Leone Communications Sdn Bhd, also traces the history of all the nine Malay Rulers in the country.
It also describes the background on all the Federal awards and medals.
Meanwhile, Leone Communications chairman Zakaria Husain told reporters that the book, besides providing reference materials to university students, lecturers and researchers, could also be used as a gift from the government to foreign dignitaries.
Ten thousand copies of the book will be printed in a year, and as a start, the company has printed about 200 copies of the book to be sold at RM450 per copy. (US$1= RM3.40)
