Amazing Hot Air Balloons At Putrajaya
PUTRAJAYA (Bernama) - Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister, Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal, launched Thursday morning the 3rd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2011.
This year's fiesta, to be held at the 'Monumen Alaf Baru' in Precinct 2, Putrajaya, from Thursday until Sunday will feature 27 top balloonists from 14 countries.
They are from the United States, Japan, Belgium, Switzerland, New Zealand, Netherlands, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Dubai, India, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia.
The event will feature attention-grabbing balloons in various designs like the Darth Vader, Doraemon, Woodrow C. Greenleaf Upside and Mauriske which will fill up the sky over Putrajaya.
The four-day fiesta is expected to attract more than 250,000 spectators, including international tourists.
The Perbadanan Putrajaya (Putrajaya Corporation) will be providing five hot air balloons for the public for tethered rides that will float 20m above the ground.
The highliht of the fiesta would be the enchanting Night Glow scheduled to take place on Saturday night.
