PARKSON SET TO ENTER INDONESIAN MARKET
KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 (Bernama) -- Parkson Holdings Bhd said it has inked an agreement with PT Tozy Bintang Sentosa Group for the development and expansion of Parkson Department Stores in Indonesia.
Under the exclusivity agreement, both parties have a period of 90
calendar days to negotiate and establish the proposed collaboration for the said expansion.
Parkson in a filing to Bursa Malaysia (Malaysia's stock exchange) Thursday said the proposed collaboration provides the company with an opportunity to establish a presence in Indonesia, which has a large domestic retail market given its 240 million population.
It currently operates 89 department stores in Malaysia, China and Vietnam.
