ROTA Organizes Workshops to Build Capacity of Teachers in Qatar

Doha, March 19 (QNA) - Qatar-based NGO Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) has organized workshops for grade 12 teachers from Qatar various schools on International Education and Resource Network program in the country (iEARN-Qatar).
The iEARN-Qatar workshops are part of ROTA's Knowledge Network initiative and are aimed at creating an online community of educators and students in Qatar. iEARN is the world's largest non-profit global network with over 120 communities around the globe, enabling young people to use Internet as well as other new technologies and engaging in collaborative educational projects.
By the end of the last iEARN-QATAR workshop, ROTA has trained 300 teachers from 75 schools in Qatar who are now members of ROTA's Knowledge Network. iEARN-QATAR provides teachers with the opportunity to further their professional growth and to become facilitators and mentors to new teachers joining the program.(QNA)
