Qatargas Leads Debate on Regulator Framework for Global LNG Industries
Doha, March 19 (QNA) - Qatargas, the largest LNG producer in the world, supported the recent key debate on: the global significance of regulatory issues for the Natural Gas Industry.
Hosted in Washington DC and led by the International Gas Union (IGU) and the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER); members of the IGU and ICER want to promote further cooperation and understanding between these two organisations.
Abdulla Al Hussaini, Qatargas s LNG Portfolio Optimisation Manager, and the Secretary for the IGU s LNG Committee, presented at the debate the Qatargas paper LNG value chain regulatory path and further discussion covered topics, such as, the continued interaction between regulators and companies active in the natural gas industry, the regulatory influences on international investment and the practical regulatory solutions to environmental aspects of natural gas.
