Cabinet holds extraordinary session over local situation

SANA'A, March 20 (Saba)- The cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar, held on Sunday an extraordinary session
to discuss the current situations in the local arena and its latest developments, topped by the sorrowful incident which took place at the Sana'a University area on Friday
in which a number of people were killed.
It condemned the attack, noting keenness of the government to provide protection for the protesters to preserve the community pubic order.
The cabinet urged the formed investigation committee to quickly reveal specifics and reasons of this incident and to announce the result as soon as possible.
It also emphasized the importance of dialogue for all parties in order to protect the country and avoid bad consequences.
The cabinet also listened to reports presented by ministers of interior and justice over the incident which took place on Friday.
It praised decision of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to announce those killed in the protests as martyrs of democracy and to compensate their families, in addition to treat
the injured people at the cost of the government.
