KNOC to drill six oil explorative wells in Yemen
SHABWA, March 20 (Saba) - Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) is to drill six oil explorative wells in block No. 4 in Shabwa
governorate, KNOC director in block No. 4 Ahmed Ba-Swaidan said on Sunday.
Ba-Swaidan made the statement while receiving Shabwa governor Ali al-Ahmadi, who paid visits to a number of oil companies working in block No. 4 in Gardan district and block
No. 1 in Armah district in Shabwa.
Ba-Swaidan said that KNOC has prepared an ambitious plan to increase its oil production in 2011.
The governor also visited the site of OMV Oil Company, where he discussed with the company's officials the possibility to export the company's daily oil production via the
oil pipeline established from Eyadh area to oil export platform in al-Nashima at the Arabian Sea coast.
Al-Ahmadi got acquainted with the implementation progress in the oil central processing project being carried out by three international companies. The project, which will
be one of the biggest oil industry projects in Yemen, contains two oil tanks and oil processing station.
The governor accented the commitment of the governorate's leadership to provide all required facilities for the oil companies in the governorate, expressing his great satisfaction
of the work progress at the companies and their explorative and productive plans.
