Pak positive & open minded about Home Secy level talks: Envoy

New Delhi, Mar 21 (PTI) Pakistan on Monday said it was
positive and open minded about the Home Secretary-level talks
with India scheduled for next week during which the two sides
are expected to discuss issues covering terrorism and progress
in 26/11 trial.
In the run-up to the meeting on March 28 and 29 here,
Pakistan High Commissioner to India Shahid Malik met Union
Home Secretary Gopal K Pillai and discussed the agenda for the
proposed talks, the first structured bilateral secretary-
level meeting on counter-terrorism after India and Pakistan
decided to resume comprehensive talks.
"I have come with the message for this very important
meeting which is restart of the process (of dialogue) between
the two countries. We are positive and open minded and I got
the same message from the Indian side also," Malik told
reporters after meeting Pillai.
Pillai and his Pakistan counterpart Chaudhry Qamar
Zaman are expected to hold substantive talks on a range of
issues including terrorism and progress in 26/11 trial. New
Delhi is unhappy over the pace of 26/11 trial in Pakistan.
More than two years after India had suspended the
composite dialogue with Pakistan in the wake of the Mumbai
terror attacks in November, 2008, the two sides decided in
Thimphu in February to resume comprehensive dialogue on all
outstanding issues.
