Turkish economy grows 6.5 percent last year
ANKARA (A.A) - 22.03.2011 - Turkish economy would have grown 6.5 percent in 2010 even if growth rate in the fourth quarter was zero.
According to figures obtained from Turkey's Statistical Authority, TurkStat, the Turkish economy would have grown 8.9 percent in 2010 even if the growth rate in quarter four remained 5.5 percent as in quarter three.
If the nine-month average of economic growth in Turkey was 8.9 percent, Turkey's annual growth rate would be 8.9 percent as well.
If the Turkish economy grows in the fourth quarter as it did in the third quarter, the Turkish economy would have a value of 724.1 billion USD.
If the Turkish economy displays a growth in the fourth quarter as comparable to the average of the first nine months in 2010, the Turkish economy would have a value of 735 billion USD.
