Turkish parliament speaker leaves for the U.S.
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 22.03.2011 - Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin left for the United States on Tuesday.
Sahin will attend Nevruz celebrations in the UN and meet representatives of Turkish associations.
He told reporters that the UN had made a decision on December 4, 2009, and accepted March 21 as International Nevruz Day. Sahin added that he would address UN general assembly on March 24 to remark the Nevruz Day.
Sahin will visit Brooklyn Friendship School and depart for Turkey on March 25.
