Turkey excellent commercial partner for Luxembourg, Krecke says
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 23.03.2011 - Luxembourg's Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Jeannot Krecke, said Wednesday that many companies in Luxembourg did their production in other countries and were seeking for partners.
"Turkey could be an excellent commercial partner of Luxembourg," Krecke said.
Speaking to reporters in north-western province of Istanbul, Krecke said that the supply of energy in the near future would be more expensive.
Luxembourg has no sources of energy. Luxembourg is totally dependent on foreign energy sources. When the issue of energy came up in 2005, we have seen that Turkey would gain importance vis-a-vis the supply of energy. The security of energy supply can not be possible in the future without Turkey's cooperation and presence, Krecke said.
Developing relations between our two countries is not an option but a necessity. Many companies in Luxembourg seek for partners overseas. Turkey could be a great partner in that sense. The bright brains and shining labor force of Turkey are crucial for Europe. Hard working young individuals can carry Europe to the leadership of the global economy, Krecke added.
