THINK CAREFULLY OF FUTURE DURING GENERAL ELECTION, LEE TELLS SINGAPOREANS

SINGAPORE, March 28 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has advised Singaporeans to be calm and think carefully about the long-term future during the coming General Election.

"Whatever emotions that are aroused during that period, calm down, detach yourself, think carefully before you vote -- which is why, we have a Cooling-off Day before Polling Day.

So, I think in that same spirit, we really should take things in our stride," he was quoted as saying by ChannelNewsAsia.

In response to a question on whether there has been too much hype over the election, Lee noted that newspapers were "getting a bit breathless".

"And when it comes, it comes. And before it comes, know that it's on the horizon but no need to get breathless," he added.
