Seminar On Investment Opportunities In Pakistan' To Attact Over 200 Businessmen
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) - Over 200 businessmen from Pakistan and
Malaysia are expected to attend a seminar on 'Investment Opportunities in
Pakistan' here on March 31, 2011.
In a statement Monday, the Pakistan High Commission in Malaysia said
Pakistan's Board of Investment (BOI) and Malaysian Investment Development
Authority would jointly hold the seminar.
Pakistan's High Commissioner, Masood Khalid, said Pakistan's 30
representatives would be led by BOI chairman, Saleem H. Mandviwalla.
Malaysia would be represented by about 200 businessmen.
Masood said the participants would focus on four areas -- agriculture and
halal sector; infrastructure development; power and energy; and, information
technology and education.
"They will discuss prospects of investment in these sectors and come up
with a way forward for mutually beneficial framework of cooperation to bring
about quantum jump in the existing level of trade and investment between the two
countries," he said.
