ERDOGAN, LEADER OF THE AGGRIEVED
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was greeted like a hero upon his arrival in Iraq. Iraqis, who have staged a demonstration of love for the Turkish premier, carried placards saying "Erdogan, leader of the aggrieved". 
During his speech at the Iraqi parliament, Erdogan gave important messages. Erdogan, whose speech was frequently interrupted by the applause of Iraqi lawmakers, said that Turkey saw a brother, not oil, when it looked at Iraq. The premier also noted that terrorist organization PKK should no longer be an "evil focal point" between Turkey and Iraq.

CANDIDACY POSE FROM TATLISES
Turkish folk singer Ibrahim Tatlises, who has applied to Justice and Development (AK) Party to become a candidate in the upcoming elections, has been released from the intensive care unit of the hospital he has been staying at since he survived an armed attack. Doctors said the singer was making walking exercises and he would be able to be on stage again.

TERRORISM, ENEMY OF ANKARA AND BAGHDAD
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on the first day of his visit to Iraq. After the meeting, Erdogan and al-Maliki held a joint press conference and said that the two countries would boost cooperation in fight against terrorism. Erdogan said that they discussed improvement of cooperation within the scope of U.S.-Turkey-Iraq tripartite mechanism in the meeting. 

TATLISES DISCHARGED FROM INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
Ibrahim Tatlises, a popular folk singer who has millions of fans in Turkey, was released from the medical intensive care unit at Acibadem Maslak Hospital. Brain surgeon Prof. Dr. Ilhan Elmaci said that Tatlises was discharged from the intensive care unit as he was not in critical condition any more. Elmaci said that he was using his right side properly and he was getting well rapidly.

ADVICE TO AL-ASSAD
As rebellious moves expand to Syria, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan called Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on the phone and gave him some advice. "If you assess the issue with a reformist approach and give a positive reply to your people's demands, this will help you get over the problems in your country in an easier way," Erdogan told al-Assad.

ACTIVE COOPERATION AGAINST PKK
Prime Minister Erdogan was welcomed by Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki upon his arrival in Iraq. As formal ceremonies were held, Iraqis waited for Erdogan on the roads to show him their love. During his talks in Iraq, Erdogan requested Iraqi officials to take more efficient measures against terrorist organization PKK.
