POLITICAL STABILITY A SELLING POINT FOR TOURISM IN SABAH

KOTA KINABALU (Sabah, Malaysia), March 29 (Bernama) -- Sabah state Chief
Minister Musa Aman hopes that more tourists from China would visit the east
Malaysian state of Sabah given the state's political stability, among other
attractions.

During a courtesy call by China's National People's Congress (NPC) Permanent
Committee Vice Chairman Hua Jianmin and entourage at his Sri Gaya official
residence, here Tuesday, Musa said a significant 100,000 out of the two million
visitors to Malaysia from China last year came to Sabah.

Musa also acknowledged China's importance as a trading partner for Malaysia,
saying Sabah had benefited from it.

He extended an invitation to China investors to visit Sabah and capitalise
on the state's industrial development.

Meanwhile, Hua said the growing number of visitors from China to Malaysia
every year reflected good relations between both countries.

He said he was very impressed with Sabah's tourism appeal.
