PUTRAJAYA, March 29 (Bernama) -- The prime minister's wife Rosmah

between Malaysia and Indonesia so that both countries could fully benefit from
it.

Speaking at a goodwill gathering with the Aceh governor's wife Darwati Abdul
Ghani and the wives of the district chiefs and governors from throughout the
Indonesian province at the prime minister's official residence Seri Perdana
here, she said there should also be sharing of ideas which could be suited to
their respective areas.

"Through the sharing of knowledge and ideas, as well as Malaysia's
experience in carrying out welfare programmes and human capital development, I
hope we can fully benefit from this, and make this meeting today as a platform
for more information exchange between us.

"Whatever our ancestry, whether Acehnese, Javanese, Bugis, Minangkabau,
Banjarese, Boyanese or others, we are from the same group, the Malay race.

Earlier, Rosmah who is the president of the Welfare Body of Wives of
Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti) shared ideas and experiences in carrying
out various initiatives and programmes, including the Permata programme and
Bakti's activities.

She said Bakti members were active in welfare work to help those people in
need regardless of their race and religion, besides contributing to victims of
disasters in and outside the country.

Rosmah also invited the 38-member delegation from Aceh to visit the Permata
Pintar School that placed together smart students at National University
Malaysia (UKM) Malaysia, to see for themselves the learning techniques used at
the school.

Darwati in her speech said she was impressed with the Permata programme (a
propramme for gifted children), mooted by Rosmah and hoped that it could be
implemented in Aceh with Rosmah's guidance and by learng from her experience.

"I also wish to thank the Malaysian government for its concern and
contribution of aid to the people of Aceh, especially following the tsunami,"
she said.

She also hoped that groups in Aceh could emulate Rosmah's concern for the
people by carrying out welfare and community work.
