SUCCESS OF COUNTRY DEPENDS ON HUMAN CAPITAL, ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE - MINISTER

BANGI (Malaysia), March 30 (Bernama) -- The success and effectiveness of a country in achieving developed nation status will depend largely on its human capital and academic excellence.

Information Communication and Culture Minister Dr Rais Yatim
said the role of teachers as innovative and creative educationists would result in the emergence of human capital that can help in the success of the nation.

"Teachers who are innovative and creative are teachers who can inculcate new ideas that can be translated into material that can become a strategic education tool that is both innovative and creative.

"The efficiency and adaptation of teachers to changes and various methods of teaching can transform them into excellent teachers who will be liked by their students," he told reporters at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) here Tuesday.
