President Choummaly Sayasone leaves for India
(KPL) A high-ranking delegation of Laos led by President Choummaly Sayasone left Vientiane on 26 August for a five-day state visit to the Republic of India.
According to a source in the Presidential Palace Office, the visit to India
of President Choummaly is being made at the invitation of his Indian
counterpart, President Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil. The visit is aimed to
further the bilateral relations and co-operation efforts between Laos and
India. Laos and India established the diplomatic relations on 2 February,
1956.
