Qatar Career Fair Results

Doha, April 03 (QNA) - Officials in Charge of Qatar Career Fair announced that the 2010 version of the Fair showed that the total number of employment applications submitted amounted to 43 386 of which 2486 were accepted.
Figures of a report on the Fair's results showed that the total number of applications for educational opportunities and grants amounted to 6430 of which 601 were accepted, while the number of applications for training opportunities totaled 3430 of which 1000 were accepted. Applications for development of 3069 of 192 applications were accepted.
Participated in the Qatar Career Fair 's last year edition, was held mid-March, totaled 114 bodies including ministries as well as government and non-government organizations.
The Fair is organized annually by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), the Emiri Diwan, the Ministry of Labour, University of Qatar and Qatar Petroleum.
At a press conference held today, Chairman of the Qatar Career Fair Follow-up Committee Khalid Abdullah Sulaitin presented the results of the Fair which showed that the energy and industry sector accounted for the large number of applications for employment, development and education and training which totaled 22 966 applications of which 700 were accepted, while the sector of finance and business came in the second place in terms of the number of applications which totaled 15 054 of which 1098 were accepted.
